Cancellation and Missed Appointments

Blackwood Podiatry requires at least 24 hours notice to cancel and appointment.  If less than 24 hours notice is given, a cancellation fee may be charged which will be 75% of the full consultation fee.

Please Note: this fee is not covered by compensable bodies such as private health insurance and must be paid directly by the patient.

Privacy Statement

We only collect the information we need in order to perform our podiatry consultation services (“Services”). We comply at all times with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Health Records (privacy and Access) Act 1997 and other legislation which, from time to time, regulates how personal information is handled including all your health details with any sensitive information. We will not disclose your personal information without your consent unless required due to a medical emergency, injury, health risk or similar and we will only do so to a qualified professional who is under the same duty of confidentiality.

Blackwood Podiatry has a privacy policy that outlines how we collect, use, disclose and store your information. Our policy also contains information about how you can ask what information we have, request access to, advise corrections and make changes to your personal information. It also provides information on how you may complain about a breach of privacy of your information and how we will deal with any complaints.

Informed Consent

Some podiatry interventions may have a small risk of complications for some patients. As part of our ‘duty of care’, we are obliged to inform you of any potential risks that may be associated with the podiatry care that we provide.

General Terms and Conditions for Social Media Competitions

From time to time we run competitions and promotions on our social media profiles. It’s our way of giving something back to our patients. Below are general terms and conditions for these competitions:

  • By entering any competition, entrants consent to the use of their personal photos by the Promoter for the purposes of promotion and in commercial use.

  • This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook or Instagram.

  • You must not inaccurately tag content - you may not tag or enter content that you do not expressly own.

  • Blackwood Podiatry accepts no responsibility for any entries that are incomplete, illegible, corrupted or fail to reach us by the relevant closing date for any reason. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt. Entries via third parties are invalid.

  • Competitions are open to residents of Australia, aged 18 years or over. Employees of Blackwood Podiatry or its parent company, as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, children) and household members of each such employee and/or authors, are not eligible to participate in the Promotion.

  • The prize for the winner is as detailed and outlined in any promotion.

  • The Promoter’s decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.

  • The prize is non-transferrable and no cash alternative will be offered.

  • The winner must claim their prize within 30 days of Blackwood Podiatry sending notification. If the prize is unclaimed after this time, it will lapse and the Promoter reserves the right to offer the unclaimed prize to a substitute winner selected in accordance with these rules.

  • By entering any competition each entrant agrees to be bound by these terms and conditions.
